Nothing tastes better than being true to yourself!

Synopsis

Remy is growing restless at La Ratatouille, still cooking in secret (as far as humans are concerned) with scant room for advancement. Eager to prove himself beyond the bistro, beyond Paris, beyond France, he welcomes a mysterious invitation to the prestigious international Bocuse d’Or cooking competition.

Skeptical to no end, Colette seeks counsel from an unlikely source.  But Skinner’s advice smells sour.  Aligned with the nefarious Talon Lebarthe, the ousted chef plots his revenge.

Meanwhile, Linguini isn’t helping matters. Both the business & his relationship with Colette simmer on the back burner while he searches distractedly for his calling, having finally come to terms with reality: he hasn’t inherited an ounce of his father’s talent.

The issues plaguing Remy, Linguini, & Colette hinder the team’s efforts to train for the high-stakes Bocuse d’Or, reaching a boiling point when a mysterious messenger brings news of Linguini’s sole remaining relative, a grandfather living in a small fishing village in Italy. Unfortunately, the old man doesn’t have much time left. Desperate to discover his past before it’s too late, Linguini abandons the team, igniting a flambé of global proportions.

But Remy isn’t throwing in the towel just yet. Unable to cook without his puppet, the little chef embarks on a mission to retrieve Linguini & get the team back on track before his last chance for global recognition goes up in smoke.

The Ratatouille adventure continues, exploring whether Remy really is the best chef in the world, if Colette will ever achieve her rightful place as chef de cuisine, and whether Linguini is capable of being anything more than a puppet, if he’s worthy of being...

a real boy!

Why a Sequel?

  • The six highest-grossing Disney-Pixar movies have been sequels.

  • Ratatouille outperforms all three of the highest grossing Pixar films (Inside Out 2, Zootopia 2, Incredibles 2) across all 3 major rating platforms: IMDB, Metacritic, and Rotten Tomatoes. It ranks 14th in Pixar films for worldwide box office revenue (in 2025 $), above Toy Story 1 & 2, and all three Cars films.

  • Long-delayed sequels can do well: Incredibles 2, Finding Dory, Toy Story 3, Top Gun Maverick, Indiana Jones Crystal Skull, Jumanji.

  • There are solid conflicts/ premises from the first film off which to build a compelling sequel: Remy’s ability to control Linguini was never explained; Linguini has no talent for cooking nor business experience, yet he inherited a culinary empire; Remy’s formidable aspirations conflict with him ending up cooking anonymously in a small bistro, Linguini continuing to get the credit; Colette’s desire to be top chef & being outspoken about gender inequality conflict with her ending up working under two males, one a rat who’s still a rookie, the other a garbage boy with no experience or talent.
